Larry Bond,  Wargame Designer, Author, Analysts - co-author Red Storm Rising

As a young naval officer Lt Bond designed the modern naval warfare wargame - “Harpoon.” After leaving active duty he became an analyst with the Center for Naval Analysis. He then met an aspiring novelist named Tom Clancy and taught him how to play “Harpoon.”  Together they wargamed engagements that appeared in “Hunt For Red October”.  Mr. Bond then co-authored “Red Storm Rising” with Tom Clancy. Since then he has written five novels under his own name, seven books with Jim de Felice, three with Chris Carlson, the nonfiction work “The Mighty Fallen”, and several novellas and short stories. He also expanded upon “Harpoon” to co-designed “The Admiralty Trilogy” wargame series, which includes “Harpoon”, “Command at Sea” (WW II), and “Fear God & Dreadnought” (WW I). All three have won industry awards. With Chris Carlson and Jeff Dougherty, he co-designed “Persian Incursion.” This innovative wargame investigates the consequences of an Israeli air campaign against the Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
