Philip Mykytiuk, Col, USAFR (ret), SME use of wargaming to anticipate tech needs

Mr. Mykytiuk currently serves as a Senior Plans and Programs Engineer, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Materials & Manufacturing Directorate.  In this position is the primary subject matter expert for Wargame/Technology Exercise programs.  Prior to this assignment, he served as primary architect, codifying Focused Long Term Challenges guide and govern policy affecting AFRL research and transition.  Previously, he served as the Inspector General, Air Force Research Laboratory.  Additionally, he has over thirty-three, years experience and formal training in Project and Program Management Systems, Planning, Research, and Development & Engineering Test and Evaluation.  He has extensive program management experience and research associated with super critical carbon dioxide cleaning techniques addressing specific aerospace environmental problems with focus on solid state metal and oxygen plasma applied to cleaning oxygen systems and various metal surfaces.  He has also been involved in development of chaff materials and aerospace dispensing systems and Acquisition Engineering of aircraft life support systems, including chemical/biological and nuclear protection. 

      In 2008 Mr. Mykytiuk retired as a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve after thirty years service.
