Richard "Moody" Suter, Colonel, USAF, Father of Red Flag, Warrior Prep Center

While still still a major Moody Suter sold the Tactical Air Command on the concept of creating the realistic air operations live wargame - Red Flag.  As a Colonel helped found and served as the first commander of US forces Europe and NATO’s first dedicated Joint Combined Theater level wargaming center - the Warrior Preparation Center. In between he was pivotal in the establishment of the Air Force’s aggressor squadrons and the Air Staff’s Checkmate organization.
