What’s
New?
Note
that the Updates have become so numerous that notes on older updates have been
moved to a What Was New page.
I am aware there
is still some weird linking problem for some URLs. Many URLs on the pages seem
to have shifted down one entry. I am trying to fix this. Please report errors.
Meanwhile, if you get a URL you were not expecting, look at the entry directly
below it.

● On
the international Presbyterian page: added URL for Free Presbyterian Church in Northern
Ireland (note this is a cross-listing, since the denomination is already listed
in the North America page but the denomination was founded in Northern
Ireland.) Also added the Associated Presbyterian
Churches, and the United Free Church of Scotland to
the international Presbyterian page, and updated the URL for the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church
of Mexico [Iglesia Presbiteriana Asociada Reformada de México]. Deleted the entry for the Presbyterian
Church of Southern Africa based on information that it merged in
September 1999 with the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Southern Africa to form
the Uniting Presbyterian Church of
Southern Africa.
● On
the international Reformed Churches page, updated the URL for the Church of Jesus Christ in Madagascar
[Fiangonan'i Jesoa Kristy eto Madagasikara]. Added the New
Protestant Church
in Madagascar
[Fiangonana Protestante Vaovao Malagasy], which split from the FJKM in 2002.
Unfortunately, the FVPM has no website at present because the Malagasy government
has banned it.
● On
the page Amish, Brethren, Mennonite, and Quaker churches, added an entry for the
Brethren Church of Nigeria [Ekklesiyar Yan` uwa a Nigeria], but am unable to find a
URL.
● On
the Protestant page: deleted the entry for the Second Cumberland Presbyterian
Church in the United States based on information
that it was simply the former name of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in
America. Updated the URL for the Korean American
Presbyterian Church [미주한인예수교장로회].
Added the International Fellowship of Bible Churches,
including it under the Methodist tradition entries. Added the United Full Gospel Churches to
the Unclassified portion of the page, and the URLs for the Bible
Missionary Church, Independent Conservative Holiness
Churches, and Pilgrim Nazarene
Church to the Holiness section.

Created
a new page, Protestant ecumenical and mixed-tradition churches, for
denominations such as the Union of the Waldensian and
Methodist Churches [Unione delle Chiese Metodiste e Valdese] in Italy
or the many churches in Africa founded by
missionaries of more than one church..
●
Created
a new category, “Missionary-founded churches with Reformed involvement,” on the
page Reformed
tradition churches outside North America. This category is for churches,
such as the Evangelical
Church of Lesotho [Église évangélique du Lesotho], that have formed with
assistance from Protestant evangelical missionaries, many of which were
supported by European Reformed churches. Many are members of the CEVAA
— Communauté d'Eglises en Mission.

groupings to Albert W. Wardin’s grouping in Baptists
